Bartending - More Than A Great Career
Bartending, Not Only a Great Career If you go to a bar, club, or
wedding functions, you will see plenty of people trying to get
the bartenders attention. After all, he or she will be doling
out those wonderful concoctions that make the party much more of
a fun experience. You might wonder, how difficult is it to be
behind the bar? The answer to that question is not that
difficult at all.
Many people don't realize that there is no magic to bartending.
I have to admit that if you would like to do drink tricks such
as seen in cocktail or a snazzy upscale bar then there is plenty
to practice and learn. But if you want to make a great drink for
friends or even work at your local bar or club, you can be
behind the bar in no time.
What many people don't recognize is that bartending is mainly
about presentation. There are many drinks available but
depending on your friends or your clientele, there are less than
about 100 that you will need to know. Most bartenders know much
more, just in case, but for the large majority 100 drinks would
be pretty good. In most bars, there's always a recipe guide in
case of a special request.
Besides learning the basics of pouring mixing and shaking and
types of liquors and ingredients, the real talent is putting all
this together and delivering a seemingly perfect drink. It
really isn't that difficult. There are plenty of bartending
schools that charge about $300 to $700 for classes. But for most
people interested in bartending it's usually not necessary. Many
bartenders learn there trade by recipe books, bartending guides,
and being around the bar and other bartenders. So for a great
career or hobby, not to mention a great way to impress a girl or
guy, take a look at bartending.
